Any negatives?

This is an extremely well rated and well built product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. The only downside is that you have to take some care with the teflon coated egg basket. You should not put it in the dishwasher, as it will last longer that way. It is worth it to wipe it out gently in order to make it last a long time.
